Spotify extends its children's content roll-out and after its debut in Ireland and a gradual expansion to selected other countries, the Spotify Kids iOS and Android app has now launched in the US, France and Canada. Multiple product changes have been made since its release, although the software is still considered in beta.
This is a standalone feature, but connected to an account of Spotify Premium Family. The aim is, for children to have a protected environment and parents should not have their own music recommendations affected by the things that their children listen to.

In the five months after its launch, Spotify reports that the app now has more than 8,000 songs in its catalogue, a 30 percent rise, and 50% of that material is localized. The app also features 60 hours of audiobooks and stories, plus more bedtime material, such as lullabies, relaxing music and sounds, and bedtime stories.
In the US, children would have access to 125 playlists covering themes such as:
and playlists related to cultural events, such as the Trolls World Tour.
To make it available to your children, you need to download the app to their smartphone, and set up a Kids account that includes details of your Spotify Premium Family account. Spotify Kids can be downloaded free from the App Store or the Play Store.
