MIUI is the xiaomi's custom Android skin which provide great features and customization and has more than 300 Million users globally,Xiaomi launched their new version of MIUI which is MIUI 12 on April 27 along with MI 10 Youth Edition in China. MIUI 12 is highly anticipated UI update for all Xiaomi users because of new visual changes,completely revamped UI design with various features and optimization, it include new smooth animations, Dark mode 2.0 , Enhanced privacy features,New wallpapers,improves gestures and many more. It looks like MIUI 12 is highly inspired by iOS because it include new Control center and gestures which looks somewhat similar to iOS.
FEATURES AND CHANGES OF MIUI 12 :-
- New Graphical Visual Changes in design element : Xiaomi completely change the design language of UI with addition of new visual changes is settings menu , it include New Battery stats , New Storage representation, new network data usage. they also include user's mobile usage stats ( just like Digital Wellbeing ). now all the data will be represented in graphs and charts which looks extremely pleasing and easy to understand for new android users.
- Dark mode 2.0 with new Always-On display : System-wide dark mode is very popular feature in user interface,now Xiaomi added more features to improve user experience and readability at dim light situations by automatically adjust the brightness of the wallpapers and also to adjust the font and contrast of text. They also added new Clock styles and features in Always-On Display feature.
- New Smooth Animations: This is one of the best feature of MIUI 12 which greatly enhance the user experience and specially for the devices with 90 Hz or 120 Hz displays. Now the navigation gestures are smooth and responsive which looks and feel amazing, there is new animation for each app when we open or close it, new animation for rotating the screen, completely new notification panel which looks similar to iOS or even better than it.It looks like Xiaomi worked a lot in Animation engine to provide rich and satisfying experience to user.
- New Super Wallpapers: Xiaomi added new Wallpaper and honestly one of the best Stock wallpapers present in a smartphone. they include wallpapers which will adjust according to the time, wallpapers of Planet,Space and Stars.It also include unlocking animated wallpaper which looks extremely satisfying and cool but it will be available only for flagship phones.
- Improved Privacy Features:- Now you can control all the permissions granted for a particular app easily, all the permissions are completely transparent and can be control by the user, you can revoke all the permissions once you used the app which is great features for the users.
- AI Calling: This new feature is very useful for the user, it will pick calls for u and even talk with the person on behalf of you.This feature is similar to the Pixel devices but only drawbacks is AI can only talk in Chinese and it is also not confirmed whether this feature will come to global version also.
All the Xiaomi and redmi devices which are eligible for MIUI 12 update are divided in batches and according to Xiaomi officials Stable version of MIUI 12 will be provided to the user in first week of June.

If you can't wait to experience MIUI 12, you can install closed beta version of MIUI 12 which is Chinese closed beta, it means there will be no google services or playstore but you can install them easily. here is the steps how can you install beta version of MIUI 12 on you eligible device.
HOW TO INSTALL MIUI 12( Beta version) :-
Before you install MIUI 12 in your device you should have following prerequisite :-
- You should have unlocked Bootloader, if it is locked here is the video to unlock it.
- Your device must have a custom recovery installed like TWRP, if it is not installed here how can you install it.
- Backup your all important data, so that incase of any problem you can retrieve it back.
- You must have 60% or more battery in your device.
NOW HOW TO INSTALL:-
- Download the Custom recovery ROM of MIUI 12 for your eligible device form here .
- After Downloading the ROM enter in recovery mode by pressing Power and Volume up button at the same time until the MI logo appears.
- You can make Backup of your important data.
- Click on Wipe and tick the following options from menu Cache,System,Data,Dalvik/ART Cache, remember don't wipe the part where you stored the downloaded ROM.
- Now click Install and select the ROM file this can take 5-7 minutes.
- On rebooting it can take about 10 min so don't panic, and after booting you will be ready to experience the MIUI 12.
Note:- Beta version of MIUI 12 can contain some bugs and issues.
